A leading renewable energy group with large-scale geothermal and wind operations across Indonesia is seeking a highly experienced Group Head Supply Chain Management (SCM) / Capital Project Procurement to lead a major transformation agenda.
This role is critical in shaping the end-to-end supply chain function for both operational assets and multi-billion-dollar capital projects, ensuring operational reliability, cost competitiveness, governance compliance, and world-class project execution.
Role Summary
The Group Head SCM / Capital Project Procurement will lead and modernize the entire Group SCM organization—covering procurement, warehouse & inventory management, logistics, business support & compliance, and capital project procurement—with a total workforce of ±65 personnel.
The role is responsible for developing the future-state SCM operating model, strengthening governance, embedding digital systems, enabling category management, and ensuring timely readiness of materials and services for geothermal and wind operations as well as major capital projects. This position partners closely with Project, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Internal Audit, and executive leadership to drive efficient, transparent, and strategic SCM processes across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic SCM Leadership
- Build and execute a comprehensive Group SCM strategy aligned with business priorities and capital project roadmaps.
- Redesign the SCM operating model to integrate procurement, logistics, and warehousing across geothermal, wind, and corporate operations.
- Implement category management, strategic sourcing, and spend optimization frameworks.
- Serve as the principal SCM advisor to the GCFO and Group Executive Team on cost, schedule, supply‑chain risk, and vendor strategy.
2. Procurement and Capital Project Support
- Lead all procurement for operations and capital projects, ensuring transparent, efficient, and compliant processes.
- Drive negotiation of major contracts with EPC, drilling, logistics, and engineering vendors.
- Implement contract lifecycle management and improve supplier performance visibility.
- Collaborate with Project & Engineering teams to ensure readiness of long‑lead items, materials, and technical services to meet project schedules.
3. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Strengthen procurement governance, policies, approval levels, and audit readiness.
- Ensure compliance with OJK regulations, internal audit guidelines, and anti‑corruption standards.
- Establish Group‑wide supply‑chain risk registers covering vendor performance, delivery reliability, and geopolitical exposures.
- Maintain documentation integrity and traceability across all procurement processes.
4. Operations, Logistics & Inventory Management
- Oversee warehouse and logistics operations to optimize inventory levels and support high operational uptime.
- Standardize warehouse practices and embed digital inventory management systems across sites.
- Strengthen cross‑asset coordination to optimize stock sharing, logistics routing, and cost control.
5. Business Support, Systems & Digital Transformation
- Lead the SCM Business Support & Compliance team to monitor KPIs, process conformance, and supplier performance dashboards.
- Oversee implementation or upgrade of SCM systems (ERP, TMS, e‑Procurement) and drive process automation initiatives.
- Introduce data analytics, automation, and AI tools to improve spend visibility, supplier risk assessment, planning accuracy, and end‑to‑end efficiency.
6. Organization Development & Talent Transformation
- Redesign the Group SCM organization to consolidate siloed functions into an integrated, high‑performance structure.
- Define capability requirements, succession plans, and talent development pathways across procurement, logistics, and materials management.
- Drive culture transformation, accountability, and service excellence across all SCM teams.
- Lead change‑management programs to embed new processes, systems, and behaviors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in supply chain, procurement, or project procurement, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles within energy, oil & gas, infrastructure, or major capital project environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading large teams (50+ personnel) and managing multi‑category procurement portfolios.
- Proven experience in process transformation, system implementation (ERP/e‑Proc), and supplier management.
- Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, MCIPS are preferred.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
