Job summary

A leading property development company in Indonesia is seeking a Head of Operation and Equipment Manager for hotel pre-opening. The candidate will lead the procurement strategy for furniture, fixtures, and equipment, coordinate with designers to meet brand standards, and manage budgets and vendor relationships. Job description
Head of Operation and Equipment Manager (for Hotel Pre-Opening)

Lead the overall FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment) and OS&E (Operating Supplies and Equipment) procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with pre-opening timelines, design intent, and five-star brand standards.

Apply expertise in luxury FF&E and OS&E, including custom furniture, designer lighting, high-end materials, and artisanal craftsmanship, to evaluate and approve samples, finishes, and deliveries.

Coordinate with interior designers, architects, project managers, owners, and brand representatives to ensure all specifications and luxury standards are met.

Manage and control procurement budgets, approve purchase orders, monitor costs, and ensure financial discipline.

Lead tenders, RFP/RFQ processes, vendor evaluation, contract negotiations, and approvals, ensuring transparency, competitiveness, and compliance.

Oversee vendor performance, contract compliance, and long-term strategic supplier relationships.

Manage logistics, inventory control, and delivery of all FF&E and OS&E items to meet pre-opening schedules.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value-engineering recommendations without compromising luxury quality.

Ensure all procurement documentation is accurate, audit-ready, and aligned with corporate policies.

Prepare monthly procurement and budget reports for senior leadership and ownership.

Supervise and guide the team, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high-quality execution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in luxury hotel pre-openings or large-scale construction projects.
