A prominent real estate development firm in Bali is seeking a Head of Legal to manage the legal department. The role requires overseeing real estate transactions, advising senior management, and ensuring compliance with Indonesian laws. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of legal experience with expertise in real estate. This position offers competitive compensation and a dynamic professional environment.
Lead and manage the legal department, building an effective and scalable structure.
Oversee all real estate transactions, including leasehold and freehold deals.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with property buyers and key stakeholders.
Advise senior management on legal matters including corporate governance, licensing, and taxation.
Ensure compliance with Indonesian law and international standards, including Bank Indonesia regulations.
Liaise with government authorities, notaries, and external law firms.
Identify and mitigate legal risks, and develop internal policies and procedures.
Support M&A activities, deal structuring, and partnership agreements.
Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, including leadership responsibilities.
Strong expertise in real estate, property development, and investment transactions in Indonesia.
In-depth knowledge of Indonesian law, particularly land, corporate, and investment regulations.
Proven experience working with government authorities, notaries, and courts.
Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
Business-oriented mindset with the ability to draft documents aligned with commercial and sales goals.
