Job description

A private villa is seeking an Head of Housekeeping to oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.

Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.

Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.

Coordinates work activities among departments.

Conducts orientation training and in‑service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate the use and maintenance of equipment.

Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies/linen, amenities, and other.

Evaluates records to forecast department personnel requirements.

Make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.

Participate in periodic heavy cleaning tasks and routine housekeeping duties, as required.

Examines building to determine the need for repairs of furniture or equipment.

Attends staff meetings to discuss company policies and patrons' complaints.

Issues supplies and equipment to workers.

Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, and time cards, and prepares periodic reports.

Checking rooms and common areas, including stairways, living room, deck bar, yoga, spa, gym, and lounge areas, for cleanliness.

Respond to customer complaints and special requests.

Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock, including floor cleaner, bleach, rubber gloves, and etc.

Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas.

Organize flower arrangements.

Supervise cleaning on the allotted floors and areas, including guestrooms, corridors, staircases, floor pantries of the allotted floor.

Supervise handling of soiled linen to laundry and requisitioning of fresh ones from housekeeping.

Facilitate provision of extra services to guests such as baby sitter, hot water bottles, other guest requests.

Ensure services offered to VIPs are of the highest standards.

Supervise the ironing and laundering of linen of the villa.

Requirements:

Proven experience as Head of Housekeeping or Senior Housekeeping Supervisor, preferably in a private villa or luxury hospitality environment.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

High attention to detail with a strong sense of responsibility.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Able to work independently and take initiative.

Well‑groomed, professional appearance.

Physically fit and able to handle operational demands.

Fluent in English (spoken); basic computer skills are an advantage.
