About the Role

The Head Buyer is responsible for planning, developing, and executing purchasing strategies to ensure a competitive and trend‑right product assortment. This role leads the buying team and collaborates across departments to achieve sales, profitability, and business growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute buying strategies and assortment planning aligned with business objectives and revenue targets.
• Select products and negotiate pricing, MOQ, lead time, and commercial terms with local and international suppliers.
• Analyze market trends, sales performance, and customer behavior to drive purchasing decisions.
• Monitor inventory levels and stock turnover to maintain a healthy and efficient supply pipeline.
• Build and continuously evaluate vendor performance to ensure consistent quality and service.
• Oversee purchase orders, costing, and product delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with merchandising, finance, marketing, and retail operations teams.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the buying team.

Qualifications
