Job Description

The Hotel Harbor / Port Representative plays an important role in providing a good experience to guests from the beginning by creating a seamless, memorable and safe experience for all guest upon arrival at the port, during stay and when guest depart from the hotel.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Experience
  • Anticipate guest needs and exceed guest expectations.
  • Recognize and appreciate repeat guests and elite members.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to learn and grow. Have a great understanding in terms of product knowledge. Therefore, able to answer guest enquiries confidently.

Core Work Activities
  • Assist guests with the embarkation and disembarkation process. Picking up guests at the port and assisting them with the check-in and baggage process.
  • Arrange guest transportation from the port to the hotel and vice versa.
  • Provide information about the hotel, facilities, and services to guests.
  • Handle problems faced by guests during the trip, such as delays or lost luggage.
  • Coordinate with the hotel to ensure that guests are well received and their needs are met.
  • Arrange for VIP guest meetings and greetings.
  • Ensure guest safety and security during the trip.
  • Ensures the smooth transfer of guest's luggage on arrival and departure within the specified timing in accordance to the operating standards.
  • Understands the local areas, surroundings and communities.
  • Respond to guest queries professionally and appropriately.
  • Write down any additional instructions for guests or information about their arrival or departure.
  • Understands the standard operating procedures pertinent to luggage/package/goods storage.
  • Constantly check what’s happening in the hotel as well as in the surrounding areas.
  • Provide guests with information about local events and sightseeing areas and make travel arrangements for guests.
  • Upsell and cross sell the hotel products.
Qualifications
  • Vocational diploma or degree in hospitality is an advantage.
  • 1 year experience minimum is essentially required.
  • Fluent in the national language and a good working level of English. Ability in a third-language is an added advantage.
  • A recognized driving license held for at least 2 years.
  • Understands the local environment and surroundings.
