is seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead the daily operations of our new luxury boutique resort in Karangasem, Bali. This role is ideal for a proactive and hands‑on leader who thrives in a natural setting, enjoys developing high‑performing teams, and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences that balance international hospitality standards with authentic Balinese warmth and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional leadership in overseeing all day‑to‑day resort operations, ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience.
- Manage guest relations with professionalism and warmth, including handling special requests, VIP services, and guest recovery.
- Establish, implement, and ensure adherence to service standards, operational SOPs, and brand guidelines for a refined luxury environment.
- Lead, train, mentor, and evaluate teams across all departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Spa, Engineering, Security, and other support functions).
- Oversee budgets, cost control, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Monitor operational efficiency, service quality, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Ensure effective maintenance and upkeep of all resort facilities.
- Work closely with ownership on strategy, reporting, and continuous operational improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, Banjar leaders, and government authorities.
- Ensure compliance with all permits, regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Represent the resort in a professional manner during stakeholder meetings, inspections, partnerships, and community engagements.
- Support pre‑opening activities, including recruitment, training, systems setup, and operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Preferably based in or familiar with East or Central Bali.
- Minimum 5 years management experience in luxury hotels, villas, or boutique resorts.
- Proven leadership in a 5-star or high‑end hospitality environment.
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of luxury service standards and guest expectations.
- Hands‑on, proactive, detail‑oriented, and solution‑focused approach.
- Experience with pre‑opening or rebranding is a strong advantage.
- Proficient with PMS/POS systems, budgeting, and hospitality reporting tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with local communities and authorities.
- Able to manage pressure and multiple priorities with professionalism.
