An educational foundation in Indonesia is seeking a General Affair Manager to oversee non-academic operations, including procurement, maintenance, and security. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, strong leadership skills, and at least 5 years of experience in General Affairs or Facilities Management, preferably in a school setting. Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English are essential, along with the ability to manage diverse teams and large operational budgets. The General Affair (GA) Manager ensures the school’s non‑academic operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This role oversees procurement, maintenance, security, and administrative support, including boarding‑house needs and IB DP facility requirements.
Overseeing all buildings, equipment, grounds, and vehicles, with special attention to the unique needs of a boarding school (dorms, dining, sports facilities) and specialized IBDP requirements (labs, resources).
Ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and comfort of the boarding facilities, coordinating with House Parents/Boarding Staff.
Managing the end‑to‑end process of purchasing goods and services, controlling the GA operational budget, and seeking cost‑saving measures.
Ensuring the school adheres to all government regulations (licenses, permits, safety standards and maintaining positive relationships with external vendors and local authorities.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent command of written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in General Affairs, Administration, or Facilities Management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Experience in a school, particularly a boarding school or international school, is highly preferred.
Strong skills in planning complex schedules, managing multiple projects, and executing preventative maintenance.
Ability to manage large operational budgets and negotiate favorable contracts.
Proactive and calm under pressure, with the ability to swiftly resolve operational crises (e.g., utility failure, security breaches).
Strong people management skills to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of support staff and third‑party vendors.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with the Principal, teachers, boarding staff, students, and external government officials/vendors.
