External Relations Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for an External Relations Specialist to lead community, government, and stakeholder engagement efforts in our West Lampung area of operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a harmonious social environment, supporting operational readiness, and ensuring strong collaboration with local authorities, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Represent the company in meetings, coordination forums, and discussions with government officials, community leaders, and local institutions.
• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with stakeholders through regular engagement and proactive communication.
• Conduct issue monitoring, social impact assessments, and early detection of potential risks that may arise during operations or project activities.
• Develop and implement external relations strategies, including community programs, sponsorships, and donations aligned with business objectives.
• Manage conflict resolution processes and ensure grievances or claims are handled properly and promptly.
• Prepare issue analyses, key messages, and position statements to support management’s decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company Stakeholder Management Procedures and all relevant Government of Indonesia regulations.
• Facilitate community outreach, local engagement sessions, and informal dialogues to strengthen social harmony and support sustainable project development.
• Promote transparent communication and positive collaboration between the company and surrounding communities.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree minimum, preferably in Law, Social Sciences, Political Science, Public Administration, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in government relations, community engagement, external relations, or stakeholder management—preferably in the energy, mining, infrastructure, or similar regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of AMDAL, social impact management, local government dynamics, and issue management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
• Domiciled in or willing to be based in West Lampung.
