Exhibition Sales & Sponsorship Manager
The Exhibition Sales & Sponsorship Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through booth sales, sponsorship packages, and strategic commercial partnerships for trade shows and B2B exhibitions. This role requires a strong blend of sales strategy, industry insight, client relationship management, and negotiation skills. The position directly contributes to the commercial success and long-term sustainability of the event portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell booth space, sponsorship packages, and promotional opportunities to both new and existing clients, locally and globally.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets for each exhibition.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline with consistent follow‑ups and conversion tracking.
- Client Relationship Management
- Maintain long‑term relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, and key commercial partners.
- Understand client objectives and recommend relevant participation options to maximize ROI.
- Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after the exhibition.
- Sponsorship Development
- Identify, create, and pitch sponsorship concepts tailored to industry needs and client goals.
- Negotiate sponsorship contracts, deliverables, and activation plans.
- Coordinate with operations, marketing, and project teams to ensure sponsorship commitments are fulfilled.
- Market & Sector Development
- Identify new market segments, emerging players, and business opportunities.
- Conduct market research to understand competitive landscapes and industry trends.
- Expand exhibitor participation by targeting local, regional, and international companies.
- Sales Materials & Proposals
- Work with the marketing team to develop sales kits, proposals, presentations, and post‑show reports.
- Deliver compelling sales pitches online, onsite, and at industry events.
- On‑Site Responsibilities
- Assist exhibitors and sponsors during build‑up and show days.
- Host VIP clients, manage sponsorship activations, and support exhibitor satisfaction.
- Identify upsell opportunities during the event.
- Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems including leads, activities, and contracts.
- Prepare weekly/monthly sales forecasts and performance reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in exhibitions, B2B events, or related industries.
- Strong B2B sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with senior clients and industry leaders.
- Excellent presentation, pitching, and communication abilities.
- Commercially driven, target‑oriented, and self‑motivated.
- Experienced with consultative selling and value‑based proposals.
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced event cycles, including peak periods near show dates.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
