What is the job?

As the Director of Rooms, you will lead the entire Rooms Division, overseeing Front Office, Housekeeping, Spa, and Recreation. You will champion our service culture, drive guest satisfaction, and ensure seamless operations while maximizing revenue and financial performance. As a key member of the hotel’s leadership team, you will develop strategies that elevate the guest experience, drive colleague engagement, and ensure alignment with brand standards and business goals.

Responsible Business

  • Lead all Rooms Division operations, ensuring consistent delivery of Hotel Indigo brand standards and neighbourhood‑inspired service.
  • Provide strategic direction to Front Office, Housekeeping, Spa, and Recreation to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, service quality, and guest engagement across all guest‑facing touchpoints.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor, interacting with guests to gather feedback and enhance service delivery.
  • Develop and execute strategies aligned with brand and hotel commercial goals.
  • Monitor Rooms Division financial performance, analysing reports and KPIs to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost efficiency.
  • Optimize occupancy, rate strategy, upselling performance, labour management, and controllable expenses.

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum4–5 years of leadership experience in Rooms Division within an upscale or luxury hotel.
  • Strong operational background in Front Office and Housekeeping; experience overseeing Spa & Recreation is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead large, multi‑skilled teams with strong communication and engagement skills.
  • Solid financial acumen with experience in budgeting, productivity management, and operational analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel systems (Opera, PMS), guest satisfaction tools, and operational audits.
  • Passion for creating memorable guest experiences through thoughtful, neighbourhood‑driven service.
