Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and operation of cloud and on-premises infrastructure to ensure availability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Provide architectural direction for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, observability, and security controls.
• Govern the adoption and standardization of DevOps tools, platforms, and operational practices.
• Review and approve infrastructure changes, deployments, and architecture proposals.
• Ensure security best practices, compliance standards, and operational policies are embedded across all DevOps processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in automation, deployment processes, system reliability, performance, and cloud cost optimization.
• Implement and enhance monitoring and observability frameworks for proactive issue detection and faster incident resolution.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the DevOps engineering team, including goal setting, KPIs, and performance tracking.
• Allocate resources across multiple projects to ensure balanced workloads and timely delivery.
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and configuration records.
• Collaborate closely with IT Operations leadership, engineering teams, project managers, HR, vendors, and cloud service providers.
• Support release planning, incident management, troubleshooting, and cross-team coordination to ensure stable and on-time delivery.
• Contribute to team capability development through training, certification, and continuous learning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering roles, with 3+ years in a leadership or managerial position.
• Strong hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, compliance, and operational governance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
