About the role:
As a Data & Project Lead, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to uncover valuable insights that drive business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends, create reports, and provide actionable recommendations based on your analysis. Your expertise in data visualization and statistical techniques will be essential in translating complex data into understandable formats.
How you will make an impact:
Data Collection & Cleaning:
- Gather data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and APIs.
- Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Identify and correct data quality issues.
Data Analysis:
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Use statistical methods and models to analyze data and generate insights.
- Develop and implement data analysis, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Reporting & Visualization:
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Translate complex findings into simple, actionable recommendations.
- Present findings to senior management and other departments.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and objectives.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other IT professionals to ensure data accuracy and availability.
- Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Involve in various projects that include new product development or system migration
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest data analysis techniques, tools, and best practices.
- Propose and implement improvements to existing data collection and analysis processes.
- Contribute to the development of data policies and procedures.
What you need to have:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Knowledge in finance and accounting is a plus.
- 3+ Years of experience in a data analyst or similar role.
- Proven experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or Excel.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Looker or similar.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in querying and analyzing large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks/ projects simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience with optimization processes and continuous improvement.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R)
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms like Google Cloud (e.g Big Query)
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling is a plus.
