An environmental consultancy is seeking two Economics Fellows for a part-time fellowship program in Jakarta. The role will involve supporting the evaluation of economic policies related to climate financing and collaborating with various stakeholders, including government and corporations. Candidates should hold a Master's degree in economics and possess strong analytical and communication skills. Applications are open until January 31, 2026, with interviews conducted immediately.
CPI offers a challenging environment that requires independent thinking, collaboration, and pragmatic problem-solving. The Fellowship will be on Part-time basis for a period of 5 months from March 2026 - July 2026.
The Fellow will support the deliverables of CPI’s projects in Indonesia to optimize climate financing sources and the effectiveness of those financing in achieving climate goals, while considering the economic reality in Indonesia.
Under the supervision and guidance of the country office Director, Manager, and Senior Analysts, the Fellow undertakes robust and careful analysis, drawing on methodologies from economics and finance, while considering the public policy and regulations in place. The Fellow will work in close cooperation with a range of external stakeholders (such as government, corporations, academia, and other bodies), as well as with CPI teams in Indonesia and across the globe.
In efforts to accelerate green investment, particularly in the energy sector, CPI works with public and private financing institutions.
CPI is hiring for two (2) Economics Fellows, open immediately. The position will be in Jakarta but may occasionally require regional travel. The Fellows will work in CPI Indonesia under a fellowship program that runs for five months. After the fellowship program ends, the Fellows are not necessarily granted an employment opportunity in CPI.
This is a part-time Fellowship program. The Fellows will be hired on consulting contracts; they do not receive a benefits package except for travel reimbursements.
Please submit your application by 31 January 2026. Attach two documents: a CV/resume and a cover letter detailing how your skills and experience match the requirements listed, as well as why you want to work with CPI.
If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at the time of application. We will then work with you to identify the best way to assist you through the recruitment process.
