Overview
As a Consumer Insights expert for the Indonesia market, you will delve into local users' usage scenarios and pain points, providing critical decision-making support for product planning and business growth. Your work will ensure our products continue to win the hearts and minds of local users.
Responsibilities
- Market Monitoring: Systematically track, monitor, and analyze the dynamics and competitive landscape of the Indonesian mobile phone market. Build and maintain a localized market intelligence system.
- Post-Launch Product Evaluation: Assess market feedback and performance of both our and competitors’ products after launch, evaluating our smartphone competitiveness in the market.
- Ad-hoc Insights Projects: Independently own end-to-end user research projects (qualitative and quantitative), utilizing methods such as focus groups, in-depth interviews, and surveys to uncover user needs and behaviors.
- Fieldwork Support: Execute fieldwork such as recruitment, moderation, and content analysis as required by headquarters.
- Video Projects: Recruit target users based on different themes and requirements, conduct interviews, and handle shooting and video editing.
- Vendor Management: Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with local third-party research vendors to ensure high-quality project execution.
- Cross-functional Support: Collaborate effectively with headquarters and cross-functional teams to complete other assigned research tasks and provide support as needed.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Statistics, Psychology, Sociology, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in market research or consumer insight. Experience in technological hardware products (e.g., smartphones, smart devices) is highly advantageous.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English (both written and spoken), with the ability to use it as a working language.
- Technical Skills: Ability to independently manage end-to-end research projects, including requirement communication, proposal design, questionnaire/discussion guide development, recruitment (qualitative), moderation, data analysis/tabulation, and reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel, SPSS, or other statistical tools for data mining and interpretation.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, coordination, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Adaptability to a dynamic work environment, with strong self-motivation and a sense of responsibility.
