A leading design company is seeking a Community Manager for its education sector in Indonesia. The role involves managing community operations, engaging with educators through various channels, and leading educational programs. Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia are required, alongside 4-6 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and relationship-oriented, coordinating marketing initiatives and enhancing community engagement.

The Community Manager supports Canva’s education community ecosystem in Indonesia, including teacher communities, education creators, and teacher Canvassadors.
The ecosystem is mature, with established advocacy and training programs. We are seeking a proactive self-starter with 4-6years of experience who can independently manage day-to-day community operations while contributing to planning and improvements. The role involves maintaining content and engagement strategies across Facebook/WhatsApp, handling educator and Canvassador communication, coordinating education-focused activities, and supporting community-led marketing initiatives.
Strong English communication, relationship skills, and organization are essential. At the moment, this role is focused on:
You’re a confident communicator in both English and Bahasa Indonesia — written and spoken. You bring 4–6 years of experience in community, education, marketing, or events.
You take initiative, work independently, and keep programs running smoothly without needing close direction. You’re organized and detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple workstreams reliably. You build strong relationships with warmth and empathy, always putting the community first.
You feel comfortable coordinating cross‑functional teams and simplifying workflows to make things easier for everyone. You may have experience working with advocacy communities, education networks, or event management — that’s a plus. You’re passionate about empowering others and creating positive impact through your work.
About the team Canva’s mission is to empower the world to design — and in Education, that means enabling every teacher and student to teach, learn, and create with confidence. In Indonesia, our education community is one of the most vibrant in the region, powered by passionate teacher networks, education creators, and a strong Canvassador program. This role sits within the Canva Indonesia country team, specifically in the Education function.
You’ll work directly with the Education Country Lead to nurture, support, and scale our teacher community ecosystem. You’ll also collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners across marketing, product, partnerships, and regional teams to ensure our programs run smoothly and deliver meaningful impact. Beyond internal collaboration, this role will engage deeply with Indonesia’s broader education ecosystem — including schools, associations, and relevant government or ministry stakeholders — to strengthen Canva’s presence and expand our support for teachers nationwide.
