Job summary

A global leader in eye health is seeking a Supply Chain professional in Batam, Indonesia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing logistics and inventory to ensure efficient product delivery. Ideal applicants will have a degree in Science or Engineering and at least 2 years experience in logistics or supply chain management, alongside excellent English skills and familiarity with SAP.

This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.

Responsibilities
  • Apply specialized knowledge to support daily operations of warehouses and distribution centers
  • Optimize storage space and material flows to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Assist in coordinating and executing inbound and outbound logistics activities, including coordination with warehouses and other relevant parties
  • Manage inventory and coordinate shipments while maintaining accurate records
  • Follow established procedures with some decision-making authority
  • Ensure attention to detail and reliability to impact efficiency and effectiveness of operations
  • Consolidate all Finished Goods from Production
  • Ensure Finished Goods are stored according to defined procedures
  • Arrange shipment of Finished Goods with 3rd party forwarders to the Distribution Center
  • Coordinate sterilization of Finished Goods with 3rd parties and subsequent shipment to the Distribution Center
  • Monitor and ensure daily compliance with Storage Environment controls
What you’ll bring to Alcon
  • Degree in Science or Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management
  • Strong command of English (speaking and writing)
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse import/export regulations
  • Well-organized with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with SAP
