Summary

As an Assistant Security Manager, you will support the efficient operation of the Security Department in line with Hyatt International’s Corporate Strategies and brand standards, while meeting employee, guest, and owner expectations. The Assistant Security Manager supports the Safety and Security Manager in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the hotel’s safety and security systems and procedures. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safety of guests, associates, and hotel assets, while maintaining compliance with fire safety regulations, emergency preparedness, and loss prevention standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing daily security operations to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, associates, and property.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of hotel safety and security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
  • Assist in fire safety management, including inspections, drills, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Supervise and guide the Security team to ensure adherence to Hyatt service and security standards.
  • Conduct regular security inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations, reporting findings to the Security Manager.
  • Support training initiatives for associates on safety awareness, emergency procedures, and loss prevention.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external authorities when required to manage security-related matters.
  • Prepare reports, logs, and documentation related to security incidents, audits, and daily operations.
  • Act as the Security Manager on Duty in the absence of the Security Manager, when assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications – External

  • Professional Diploma or Certificate in Safety and Security or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as an Assistant Security Manager or Security Supervisor in a large hotel or similar operation.
  • Strong operational knowledge of hotel safety, security, and fire prevention systems.
  • Good practical, operational, and administrative skills.
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
