About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Shipping to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective supply chain, organizing and monitoring the distribution of goods, and managing shipment arrangements, customs audits, and vendor coordination. You will lead the shipping team, streamline processes, and drive cost reduction while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee shipping and bonded zone operations to align with company priorities and compliance standards.

  • Manage shipment arrangements, customs documentation, and internal audits.

  • Monitor and improve operational processes through data analysis and reporting.

  • Lead and develop Exim staff, providing coaching and training for team growth.

  • Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and process integrity in all shipping activities.

  • Liaise with external parties on operational and oil stock issues, including transporter sourcing and customer visits.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent).

  • Experience: Minimum 5–10 years in a similar role, preferably in the oil palm refining industry.

  • Strong knowledge of shipping operations, bonded zone management, and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
