Job description

Work collectively as a Trade Analyst to optimize commercial opportunities.

Responsible for all trade related matters supporting the trade manager and working closely with ARO trade and HO line management teams.

Coordinate closely with sales teams to obtain market information related to the trade and serve as a backup for the agency trade manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build & analyze vessel profiles in collaboration with the Trade Manager.
  • Identify industry verticals that can boost trade volumes and expand the pipeline.
  • Coordinate with all ID Branches on trade‑specific developments.
  • Monitor vessel traffic lights and ensure required actions are taken across Indonesia.
  • Monitor feeder and mother vessel utilization to guarantee allocations are fulfilled.
  • Produce commercial forecasts.
  • Support the Trade Manager in analyzing market identification by trade.
  • Prioritize lines' instructions to the Commercial Manager and Sales Representatives.
  • Monitor and report competitor activities, maintaining a competitor matrix.
  • Report competitor activity updates to all ID Sales and regularly to ARO & HO teams.
  • Collaborate with ARO & HO Trades and Lines to meet trade objectives.
  • Back up Trade Managers as needed.
  • Coordinate with sales support and sales teams to achieve commercial targets.
  • Collate trade, competitor pricing, routing, and digital pricing data for the Trade Manager.
  • Attend required commercial reviews and trade meetings.
  • Manage cargo selection in coordination with trade and cargo flow.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in the shipping/forwarding industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Logistics/Transportation, Economics/Business, Marketing, or equivalent) with proven sales achievements.
  • Professional Skills: Excellent presentation; Customer network coverage in any industry.
  • Personal Qualities: Good presentation and pleasant appearance; Strong interpersonal communication; Assertive and tactful; Highly motivated and result‑oriented.
