Position: Accounts Executive (Based in Papua New Guinea)

Working hours: 5.5 days (Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm, Sat: 8am-12pm)

Reporting to: Finance Manager/General Manager

Overview

This role will be responsible for all financial matters within the company from recordkeeping, payroll, taxation, report preparation, and interpretation of financial reports to assist Management in decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit financial reports/returns according to PNG taxes, laws, and regulations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports per Management requirements.
  • Keep proper and complete records of financial transactions and reports for internal or external audit in line with Company policy and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure that billing of goods and services as well as payment of suppliers and other creditors are followed up and executed on a timely basis.
  • Fixed Asset Management.
  • Track and documentation of sales, purchases, and other payments.
  • Preparation of Invoices and Statement of Accounts.
  • Review and process disbursement of all expense claims making sure that invoices and other supporting documents are attached and in accordance with the country’s standard policies, compliance, and accounting practices.
  • Preparation and processing of payroll, salaries tax, employee loans, NCSL, NASFUND, and other salary-related matters.
  • Identification of Bank Deposits and withdrawals (Bank Reconciliation).
  • Processing and monitoring of Telegraphic Transfers for overseas payments.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls and provide input into the department’s goal-setting process.
  • Liaising with the Banks, IRC, and other government offices.
  • Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential at all times.
  • Other Administrative Tasks that may be assigned.
Requirements
  • OPEN TO MALAYSIAN, INDONESIAN, AND BURMESE
  • Min Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce
  • Min 2-3 years of experience in accounting and finance
  • Taxation and payroll experience is preferred
  • Ability to converse well in English.
  • Detail oriented and ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Willing to relocate and based in Papua New Guinea
