About the job Accounting & Tax Manager - Mandarin Speaker

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting & Tax Manager to lead the finance function for our client in the lifestyle and consumer goods industry, ensuring accurate financial reporting and full tax compliance. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of Indonesian tax regulations and PSAK, and fluency in Mandarin to coordinate effectively with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the accounting and tax team to ensure timely and accurate financial and tax reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with PSAK (Indonesian GAAP).
• Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax reports, including VAT, Withholding Tax (PPh 21, PPh 23), and Corporate Income Tax.
• Conduct tax reconciliations and proactively resolve any issues with tax authorities.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic business decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants during financial and tax audits.
• Serve as the main point of contact for Mandarin-speaking stakeholders regarding financial performance, budgeting, and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable local and international accounting and tax regulations.
• Develop, improve, and implement effective accounting and tax policies, systems, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
• Proficient in both spoken and written Mandarin.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and taxation, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of PSAK and Indonesian tax laws.
• Brevet A & B certification is a plus.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Accurate, Jurnal, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent leadership capabilities.
