• Basic knowledge of Public Health, Food Safety, and Sanitation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• The 1st Commis Chef is responsible for assisting the Sous Chef and Chef de Partie in producing and delivering the best culinary experience at sea.
• The role requires a strong understanding of international cuisine, recipes and culinary processes and food safety practices.
• Job responsibilities include adhering to company recipes, daily production schedules, demonstrating an ongoing understanding of the ingredient consumption required for daily production to minimize food waste during production.
• The role also requires demonstrating commitment to safety, compliance with international regulations and Company standards, and upholding the company's values while maintaining professional relationships, and promoting a harassment‑free environment.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• At least 1 to 2 year of prior work experience in a culinary environment as Commis Chef or similar roles.
• Culinary related education (Preferred).
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, presentation, and preservation.
• Basic knowledge of Public Health, Food Safety and Sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Ability to organize and complete work by deadlines.
• Good English language skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a large multinational environment.
