Content and Marketing Writer overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic writer to join The Sybarite team working across both editorial and commercial projects. You will work closely with the deputy editor, client experiences manager and freelance writers. As a content writer, you should be able to write clear and engaging copy across a range of topics (namely travel, lifestyle and culture), be a motivated self-starter, be able to work to tight deadlines, and have a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for delivering content in line with our marketing calendar, with a key focus on newsletters and social media, with a sound understanding of the requirements of each platform. You will have a keen interest in the world of luxury with a key focus on lifestyle and travel.

Responsibilities

• Support the deputy editor to craft copy for print, digital, and social media.
• Craft copy in line with our marketing strategy
• Manage The Sybarite’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn)
• Perform research on various topics within the luxury world.
• Write a variety of features from trend reports and listicles to interviews with influential tastemakers.
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to bolster web traffic.
• Establish relationships with industry PR contacts
• Contribute to content idea generation for publication.
• Represent The Sybarite at industry events.

You will be:

• Data-driven and analytical to inform content/marketing strategy.
• Curious and trend-focused to uncover newsworthy stories.
• A motivated self-starter with an ability to turn out sparkling copy at speed.
• Have a keen interest in the world of luxury with a key focus on culture and travel.

Requirements and skills:

• Minimum 2 years as a staff writer or reporter
• Social media savvy
• A portfolio of published articles
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, CMS and social media platforms.
