This is an exciting opportunity to join the East of England Endoscopy Training Academy. The Academy is a collaborative approach to region wide learning with programmes coordinated together as one operational model. The Academy is hosted by the NNUH at the Quadram Institute with the ambition of improving patient outcomes through delivery of world class, multi-professional training to healthcare systems across the East of England.

The overall aim of the Academy is to increase the number of learners transitioning to the workforce, to provide a high quality & enhanced training experience & to accelerate learning to independent practice.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Professional Development Lead for Administration to join our team in a new role as part of the EoEETA. The successful candidate will work as part of the Academy team within the East of England region, but also on a national platform working alongside the other 6 Endoscopy Training Academies.

The team consists of a group of multi-professional leads. We are seeking an Administration & Clerical Lead role to progress with the training needs of the regional Endoscopy Admin & Clerical teams. This role will develop & deliver training packages to regional staff & develop & support regional faculty, to deliver training packages in all areas of the region. This role would suit an individual who is committed to enhancing the delivery of Endoscopy services, through education & training of the Admin & Clerical workforce.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Professional Development Lead for Administration who can support the expansion of Admin and Clerical training, and ensure that education and training is embedded and developed within the EoEETA.

The Endoscopy Training Academy Professional Development Lead for Administration will provide specialist advice regarding Endoscopy Administration to support the development of the EoEETA, by providing expert professional advice to develop, lead and implement the education and training strategy. This will enable endoscopy administrators to make best use of their potential, meet the needs of a changing workforce responsive to local and regional service need and new models of care, and ensure a safe effective workforce.

You should have a passion for education, an experienced understanding of the Endoscopy service provision, training and education, with experience of working as part of a multi-professional team and a track record of delivering projects to deadlines.

The postholder will be required to undertake the following:
• Undertake workforce planning to identify the regions training needs and identify any challenges in appointing and retaining staff.
• Further develop and embed career pathways in Endoscopy for administration and clerical colleagues, promoting Endoscopy as a career choice in the region.
• Be responsible and accountable for teaching and devising specialist training and development programmes for the Administration Workforce across the East of England. This includes ensuring that the Workforce follow appropriate training programmes and are supported appropriately.

The post holder will support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH’s ‘PRIDE’ values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.
• Act as a subject matter expert within the EoEETA to drive forward and implement NHS England’s objectives and vision for the future of the Administration workforce education. This involves being a point of contact and point of escalation for issues in the region that relate to Administration staff training.
• To co-ordinate and be responsible for programme development within the region, including organising and managing large multi-professional working group meetings. Develop and deliver training courses for regional Endoscopy Administrative staff according to the needs of the region.
• To support the national programme development process.
• To develop regional networks to provide peer support for all endoscopy administration teams.
• To lead regionally on the monitoring and audit for quality and consistency.
• Forges close positive working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders across the team and region to achieve objectives.
• Supporting local employers in delivering their stated number of joint training places by acting as a local subject matter expert and point of contact.
• Develop and facilitate workshops to establish the differing needs of stakeholders.
• Initiate, develop and implement research and development programmes across the region, to ensure lessons are learnt and that roles within the Administration Workforce are developed appropriately over time, to ensure the best outcome for patient care. This will aid service improvement and development and consequently patient outcomes.
• To work as a fully integrated member of the East of England Endoscopy Training Academy, ensuring, through the provision of highly complex information, that internal and external stakeholders are informed of work so that quality is improved and managed.
