Hourly rate: £13.32 to £15.05 across selected London locations.

About the opportunity

As a Dispenser you will be a key member of the pharmacy team in one of our stores, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. Your role involves building relationships with patients, greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring safe sale of medicines, and providing advice to help patients make informed decisions about their health and wellness.

This is a store‑based role within the UK. Remote applicants and candidates outside the UK will not be considered unless they hold the relevant UK qualifications and right to work.

Key responsibilities
  • Prescription dispensing, ensuring safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions).
  • Work with other healthcare professionals in the store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
  • Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist as appropriate.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Keep up to date with new innovations in the store and comply with operational processes.
  • Support patients to manage their prescriptions their way with reliable repeats and manage medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.

Working with evolving technologies, you will have the opportunity to develop traditional dispensing processes and improve patient safety.

You will receive regular updates and training to develop your healthcare knowledge and have career development options, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or pursuing roles within the store leadership team.

What you’ll need to have
  • Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and having completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
  • Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
It would be great if you also have
  • Experience working in a community pharmacy.
