A recruitment agency is seeking a Postal Delivery Person in Edinburgh, offering both walking and driving delivery roles. Responsibilities include sorting and loading mail, delivering parcels, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Candidates should have a full UK driving licence and are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. This role offers a pay rate of £16.58 per hour with shifts from Monday to Friday and one weekend day included. Weekend availability is essential.
Competenze
- Full UK manual driving licence with a maximum of 6 points; clean licence preferred.
- Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not necessary.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Mansioni
- Sort and load mail at the local delivery office.
- Navigate routes using handheld devices.
- Deliver letters and parcels on foot and/or by vehicle.
- Lift and carry mail bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg.

Hours: shifts Monday to Friday between 10am and 9pm
Schedule: Monday – Friday with one weekend day included (day off during the week)

Pertemps is proud to support Royal Mail in recruiting Multi‑Drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers and Postal Delivery People in the Edinburgh (South East, West, North West, South West) area. We are currently hiring for both walking and driving delivery roles, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, independently, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Begin your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your mail.
- Use a handheld device for route navigation and signature capture.
- Deliver letters and parcels on foot and/or by vehicle (walking up to 8 miles per day).
- Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).
- Use delivery trolleys as required throughout your route.
- Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred).
- Previous delivery or driving experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong time management and excellent customer service skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willing to undergo a DBS check.
