As a Healthcare Assistant you will be working with the Ward Team to deliver an individual plan of care to our patients. You will develop therapeutic relationships with patients through engagement in meaningful activities and role model appropriate behaviour to support their progress along the treatment journey.

• Assist with daily activities that support the physical and mental health of patients – observing and talking with patients, supporting structured days, serving meals, and participating in planned therapy or activities.
• Engage in meaningful activities on the ward with individuals or groups of patients.
• Work in a highly demanding environment, encountering complex emotionally and physically challenging situations.
• Demonstrate resilience and be a good team player.

• Required to work 150 hours over a 4‑week period with 13‑hour shifts.
• Shifts are day or night (24/7, 365 days per year).
• Part‑time work is available but shift flexibility is required, including weekends, nights and bank holidays.
• Shift flexibility can be arranged through roster requests; rosters are set 12 weeks in advance to support planning.

• Previous healthcare experience is not required.
• Experience and understanding of caring for people with mental health, learning disability or autism is preferred.
