Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Shoreham-by-Sea is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide high-quality dermatology nursing services to patients both in-patient and out-patient. Responsibilities include setting clinical quality standards, conducting nurse-led outpatient clinics, and promoting a conducive learning environment for junior staff. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively within the team and maintain high standards of practice based on evidence-based resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high-quality dermatology nursing service to in-patients and outpatients.
  • Assist in setting and monitoring quality standards for dermatology patients.
  • Promote a conducive learning environment for the clinical team.
  • Liaise with other agencies in primary and secondary care.
  • Work within Trust policies to achieve business plan aims.
  • Provide clinical expertise in the Dermatology Team.
  • Conduct nurse-led outpatient clinics, including surgeries.
  • Support the Dermatology team and patients based on service demand.
  • Teach and support learners in the clinical environment.
  • Maintain skill competencies and evidence-based practice.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • To provide a high-quality dermatology nursing service to both in-patients and outpatients within the Trust.
  • To assist in the setting and monitoring of quality standards in relation to clinical practice and specialist nursing advice for dermatology patients and in relation to NICE guidance and Trust Policies and Procedures.
  • To assist in promoting an environment conducive to learning for all the individuals working within the clinical team and support the orientation of new nursing staff to the team.
  • To liaise with other agencies and departments in both primary and secondary care.
  • To work within the Trusts' policies and procedures to assist in achieving the aims of the division's business plan.
  • To provide clinical expertise as part of the Dermatology Team and ensure the provision of high quality evidence-based nursing care to patients with diagnosed dermatological conditions.
  • To provide nurse‑led outpatient clinics – including surgery, paediatric, photodynamic therapy and phototherapy.
  • To communicate and support the Dermatology team, patients and carers to meet high standards of service delivery based on demand.
  • To teach and support learners including medics, senior Healthcare assistants, student nurses and learners within the wider team.
  • To maintain skill competencies and ensure practice is based on validated evidence‑based resources.
