Fullstack Engineer

We are looking for a proactive and curious Fullstack Engineer in our Short Term Credit team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in building and scaling our Card products, empowering businesses to access flexible financing solutions. Your passion for technology and your ability to solve complex problems will be instrumental in driving our mission forward.

• Collaborate as part of an agile cross-functional team
• Build great user experiences for customers, internal and external
• Deliver innovation through software to automate processes that enable Funding Circle to operate at scale
• Use Python, React, Kafka, AWS serverless technologies, Terraform
• Work with serverless and event-driven architectures
• Proactively problem-solve, identify, and mitigate risks, issues, or control weaknesses

• Experience in Python and JavaScript, with experience in React preferred
• Fundamental programming skills (data structures, algorithms)
• Interest in Serverless architectures
• Knowledge of cloud-based Infrastructure (AWS API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, DynamoDB)
• Experience working with Terraform
• Openness to learn and work with different technologies
• Good communication skills, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of Agile, BDD, TDD, and CI/CD
• Interest or experience in Functional Programming, Distributed Systems, or Event-Driven Architectures
