Job summary
A reputable recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Hospitality Tutor to deliver engaging training to adult learners across Plymouth and Devon. Job Title: Hospitality Tutor

Hours: Negotiable (circa 18-22.5 per week)
We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Tutor to deliver engaging, accredited training to adult learners across Plymouth and Devon. This role will focus on sector-specific Skills Bootcamps, supporting participants to develop their skills and progress into sustainable employment.
You will deliver small group training (up to 12 learners per cohort) in community venues, with a focus on hospitality, leadership, and essential workplace skills. Courses include accredited qualifications such as:
- City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership Principles
- City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
Programmes also embed employability support, such as CV writing, interview preparation, and confidence-building, with guaranteed job interviews arranged via local employers.
This role is ideal for a dynamic, learner-centred tutor with a strong background in hospitality, who is passionate about inspiring and supporting adults into rewarding careers.
- Deliver accredited, classroom-based training to adult learners on Skills Bootcamps.
- Complete learner initial assessments and create tailored action plans.
- Monitor and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum design, schemes of work, and learning resources.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and safe learning practices.
- Support learners with pastoral needs and career progression advice.
- Liaise with employers and colleagues to ensure strong learner outcomes.
- PGCE or Level 4 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards).
- Relevant degree or substantial sector experience in Hospitality.
- Experience delivering adult education or vocational training.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Enhanced DBS (funded by employer).
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry and progression routes.
- Experience embedding employability into vocational training.
