Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Tutor/Mentor to support a 15‑year‑old learner in Dorchester (DT1) for 15 hours per week. This role combines Functional Skills support in Maths and English with mentoring, focusing on emotional development and personalised learning.

• Deliver engaging and accessible Functional Skills Maths and English sessions.
• Build a trusting and consistent relationship with the learner.
• Support emotional development through structured mentoring activities.

• Experience working with young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
• Confident in delivering Functional Skills Maths and English.
• Skilled in mentoring and emotional support.
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to personalised learning.
• Available for flexible hours during the school day, Monday to Friday.

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people.
• Experience of working with learners with SEN.
• Hold right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide references upon request.
• Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this).
