Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching or tutoring English at secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of GCSE English expectations.

Contract: 3 days per week, until May 2026
Salary: £160–£250 per day (experience dependent)

This welcoming 11–16 secondary setting is located in a beautiful rural area just outside Winchester. The school is part of a supportive multi‑academy trust and has built a vibrant, compassionate culture where pupils feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve their personal best.
Set within rolling fields and natural outdoor space, the school places strong emphasis on wellbeing and creating a positive learning environment that supports both academic and personal development.

We are seeking an English Intervention Tutor to support GCSE students through focused small‑group work.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about raising attainment and building confidence in Key Stage 4 learners.

Responsibilities include:
  • Delivering targeted English interventions to small groups of GCSE students
  • Supporting learners with reading, writing, literature, and exam preparation
  • Working collaboratively with the English department and pastoral teams
  • Monitoring and feeding back on student progress

This is a 3‑day‑per‑weekposition runningimmediately until May 2026.

  • Previous experience teaching or tutoring English at secondary level
  • Strong understanding of GCSE English expectations
  • Ability to deliver engaging, structured, and supportive intervention sessions
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A positive, flexible, and student‑centred approach
