Job summary

A leading education recruitment agency is seeking a part-time SEN Outreach Tutor in West London. The role focuses on providing tailored support to a young person with additional learning needs in both school and home settings. Candidates should have experience working with autistic children and possess strong behaviour-support skills. The position offers a pay range of £30-35 per hour for 20 hours a week during term time. Qualifications

  • Experience with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs is beneficial but not essential.
  • Flexibility in how support is delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sessions either in school or at home, depending on the student's needs.
  • Deliver and adapt curriculum content in partnership with teaching staff.
  • Build trust and emotional safety by working at the student's pace.
  • Use positive, student-centred approaches to support engagement.
  • Support independence while offering guidance when needed.
  • Identify potential sensory or emotional challenges and respond appropriately.
  • Encourage communication, provide processing time, and offer flexible choices.
  • Help promote emotional regulation through a calm, consistent approach.
  • Accompany the student to familiar and supportive environments when needed.
