Location: Nationwide - regularly travelling to our major UK airports, Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Birmingham
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday 40 hours a week
Pay: £50,000 - £53,000 (inclusive of a car allowance)

At Wilson James, we're looking for an Airside Safety & Standards Manager to help raise the bar on airside safety and operational consistency in our PRM (Passengers with Reduced Mobility) services across major UK airports.

Whether you already have a strong Health & Safety background, or you bring deep operational aviation knowledge and are willing to grow into the H&S space, we want to hear from you. Full training and development support will be provided for the right candidate.

About the Role:

As an Airside Safety & Manager you will be responsible for:

• Lead and enhance airside safety practices across PRM operations
• Champion a strong, visible safety culture across multiple airport sites
• Standardise operational procedures and drive continuous improvement
• Investigate incidents and support a robust governance and assurance framework
• Support onboarding, training, and auditing of airside teams and suppliers
• Act as a subject matter expert on vehicle use (Ambilifts, Bulmors, Thunderlifts) and working at height

What we are looking for:

• 3-5 years' experience working airside (aviation, ramp, logistics, or PRM operations)
• A good understanding of airside safety and assurance-or a willingness to train into it
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder skills
• Comfortable with travel across sites and eligible for airside clearance
• A proactive team player who knows how to drive standards, not just follow them
• Driving Licence - as you will be required to drive our various company vehicles

Desirable (but not required):

• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent H&S training
• Trainer/Assessor qualifications
• PRM experience or Airside Driving Permit (ADP)
