Job summary
A logistics company in Barking is looking for a detail-oriented Transport Supervisor to manage daily transport desk activities and maintain operational standards. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience in a transport or logistics environment, and exceptional problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities include managing documentation, performance reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule, 0800-1600.
Qualifications

- Excellent communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Good IT proficiency, including experience with document management and reporting tools.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Managing daily transport desk activities, including fuel monitoring and internal communications.
- Handling document control and producing daily performance reports.
- Processing driver infringements and managing insurance documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with O Licence regulations.
- Supporting the team with general administrative tasks.
Skills
We’re offering a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive Transport Supervisor to join our logistics team based in Barking. In this role, you’ll be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective administrative systems that support the smooth running of our transport operations.
Monday - Friday, 0800-1600
- Managing daily transport desk activities, including fuel monitoring and internal communications.
- Handling document control and producing daily performance reports.
- Processing driver infringements and managing insurance documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with O Licence regulations.
- Supporting the team with general administrative tasks and maintaining high operational standards.
- Strong administrative skills and experience in a transport or logistics environment (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Good IT proficiency, including experience with document management and reporting tools.
