Job Title: Transport Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our logistics team in Yeovil. You will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, managing schedules, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with transport regulations. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods and services.

• Coordinate and monitor the transportation of goods to ensure timely delivery.
• Organize transport schedules and routes for optimal vehicle utilization.
• Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to resolve transport-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records including transport permits, insurance, and maintenance logs.
• Use transport management software to track vehicle movements and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with transport laws, safety standards, and company policies.
• Prepare and present transport reports and statistics to management.
• Process driver payments and manage transport-related expenses.
• Handle customer queries and escalate serious complaints when necessary.
• Schedule vehicle maintenance and monitor fuel consumption for cost efficiency.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in transport or logistics administration.
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations and logistics operations.
• Proficiency in transport management software (e.g., Oracle, Mercury Gate).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with GPS and navigation tools is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license may be required depending on operational needs.
