A leading waste management company is seeking a Trainee Mobile Fitter to maintain and repair heavy machinery, ensuring high standards of workmanship. The role offers hands-on experience with various equipment and the opportunity to learn in a supportive environment. Working full-time, you'll cover areas including Kent and West London, with a competitive hourly rate offered.
Envar is a producer and supplier of high quality soil improver, woodland garden mulch, wood chip and biomass. We operate green waste composting sites across England with sites in Surrey, Northamptonshire, West London, Essex, Kent, and Suffolk as well as our flagship site in Cambridgeshire where we also process food waste. In addition to composting Envar also recycles coffee grounds.
About the role:
Envar Composting are looking for a Trainee Mobile Fitter to persistently maintain high standards of workmanship and competence in performing tasks associated with preventative maintenance checks and general maintenance whilst maintaining high standards of internal and external communications and relationships.
The individual will have the opportunity to learn to install, maintain, and repair heavy machinery such as shredders, trommels, loading shovels, telehandlers, excavators and tractors, while handling lighter equipment such as pumps and generators. The role provides great variation of types of work and allows any new entrant to develop their skill set and deepen their knowledge in the field of mobile fitting.
