Ready to do what you do best - and do it with purpose?

Looking to reduce your hours while staying professionally active? Seeking the right part-time role to suit your expertise while delivering exceptional care for patients with Head & Neck Cancer? If so, join our experienced, supportive SLT team who value you and your continued growth.

This is a chance to make a real impact in a role that fits your lifestyle.

Why this role could be for you:

  • Work with purpose: Manage a rewarding H & N cancer caseload where your advanced clinical skills will directly impact patients' recovery and quality of life.

  • Stay connected to excellence: Access to expert colleagues and joint working opportunities as a member of the Humber Health Partnership- ensuring you're always at the forefront of best practice.

  • Be part of something bigger: Collaborate in regular SLT-led videofluoroscopy clinics and Macmillan "Living With and Beyond Cancer" clinics alongside dedicated multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, patient-centred care.

  • Flexible working options: This 2-day/ week post is ideal for someone seeking a better work-life balance - whether you're winding down, returning to work, or looking for the right setting to apply your experience.

  • Lead and inspire: contribute to the development of junior staff/students, sharing your knowledge and shaping the next generation of SLTs.

Main duties of the job

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering expert assessment and management for adults with complex communication and swallowing needs, with a focus on Head & Neck Cancer and ENT pathways
  • Acting as an autonomous dysphagia practitioner across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Participating in and shaping clinical supervision, service improvement, and education
  • Playing an active role in specialist clinics and supporting junior SLTs and students

You'll be working based at Scunthorpe General, with occasional requirement to travel to Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby. Access to transport is essential due to site travel and equipment needs.

Who we're looking for:

An experienced, compassionate SLT with a specialist interest in Head & Neck Cancer who's ready to contribute at a senior level while working flexibly. You'll be joining a passionate, knowledgeable team and will benefit from mentorship, peer support, and connection to a wider regional network of experts.

Whether you want to keep making a difference while reducing your hours or are looking for a fulfilling part-time specialist role that matches your values - we'd love to hear from you.
