A healthcare organization in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join their Adults Autism Intensive Support Team. This role involves conducting clinical assessments, developing communication plans, and engaging with adults in various settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting individuals with autism and mental health challenges, contributing to innovative approaches to care. Clinical assessments, Communication plans, Specialist speech interventions, Reviewing targets, Risk assessments. In order to do this, we work with the network around the adult (e.g. Adult Mental Health, Social Care, Education) and work closely with commissioners. As a speech and language therapist nurse you will have experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working as you will need to attend and chair regular MDT's, CETR's and EMDT's.
As a Speech and Language Therapist you would visit the adult in their home or in appropriate setting multiple times a week to engage them and carry out our assessments and interventions. This is an exciting time to join our Team as we mature and expand and continue to look for innovative ways to support the families we work with.
