A healthcare provider in Essex seeks a part time psychological therapist/MBT therapist to work 22.5 hours per week, primarily in Chelmsford. The role includes psychological assessments and the delivery of MBT groups. Ideal candidates possess a registration as a qualified clinician and experience in handling severe emotional disturbance. We are excited to be offering an opportunity for a psychological therapist/MBT therapist to join us on a part time basis. The post is for 22.5 hours per week (0.6 WTE) and it's based at the C&E Centre, Chelmsford. However, the successful candidate will be required to spend one day a week at the Gables, Braintree. If you are a clinical/counselling psychologist or psychotherapist without MBT accreditation and with a specialist interest in this field, we can offer MBT training through the NHS scheme, as long as you already posses a registration as a qualified generic clinician.
The main duties of this post are the psychological assessment of clients with complex and severe presentations and the delivery of MBT groups and one to one sessions, as part of a comprehensive MBT programme for adults. The successful candidate will work with other MBT therapists in the service. This is an exciting opportunity to work within supportive MDTs and highly experienced clinical/counselling psychologists and psychotherapists.

We are looking for someone competent and experienced in delivering psychological assessments and interventions within the context of the NHS. Experience of offering consultations and developing clinical formulations that meet the needs of clients with emotion dysregulation and trauma histories is essential. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience with clients who experience severe emotional disturbance, often with a history of trauma and multiple morbidities. The post-holder will be expected to contribute to multi-disciplinary treatment planning, research, audit and service evaluation.
