Onsite L1 IT Support Engineer - Interim
Job summary
A leading IT recruitment firm is seeking an Interim Level 1 Engineer in Great Yarmouth to provide deskside and end user support. This customer-facing role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a corporate environment. Responsibilities include diagnosing IT issues, installing Windows devices, and supporting Microsoft 365 applications. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a Level 1 role and strong communication skills. This is a short-term contract running from December 29, 2025, to January 26, 2026.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Level 1 or deskside support role in a corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365 and common end user applications.
- Basic Active Directory experience.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide first line deskside IT support to end users.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
- Install and configure Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications.
- Handle basic Active Directory tasks.
- Log and manage IT service tickets.
- Deliver a professional customer-focused service.
