Benenden School in Kent is looking for a Head Swimming Coach. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced coach to lead the strategic direction of Benenden School's swimming programme, fostering an inclusive and high-performance environment for swimmers of all abilities
Reporting to the Director of Sport, you will be responsible for driving the continued development of the programme, effectively leading coaching staff, shaping performance outcomes, and competition strategy. You will also coach our elite performance squads, with a focus on regional, national, and international competitions.
You will hold a minimum of a Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 2 Coaching Award (a Senior Certificate/Level 3 Award is desirable) or equivalent and possess a deep understanding of long term athlete development (LTAD) principles. A current NPLQ is also required, or a willingness to obtain this within six months. Previous experience in coaching swimmers to national/international level is essential, while a Pool Plant Operator certificate would be advantageous.
Exact hours to be agreed, however they will include evenings, early mornings and weekends, aligned to the training programme and competition schedule. The salary range is based on 1 FTE £55,000 to £60,000 (equivalent to £28-£30 per hour) dependent on experience.

The post-holder will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children with whom they come into contact.
