A children's support service is seeking a Personal Assistant for a 10-year-old boy with Autism and ADHD, located mainly in Pudsey. The role includes supervising activities, promoting independence, and supporting social interactions without reliance on praise. Candidates must have knowledge of Autism and ADHD, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to handle challenging behavior. This position offers flexible hours during term time and school holidays, requiring commitment on weekday afternoons and weekends.
PA for a 10-year-old boy with Autism, ADHD and sensory processing needs. Role is to promote independence and social experience. Location is mainly Pudsey LS28 and local community areas in Leeds (Kirkstall, Headingley, Meanwood). The child attends a school in Meanwood and finishes at 2:00 pm. Some activities may occur in other areas, such as Gravity Trampoline Park in Kirkstall or Village Hotel swimming pool in Headingley. You do not need to pick up the child from school.
Hours: 6 hours per week during term time and 8 hours per week during school holidays; 2–3 times a week. Weekday afternoons from 2:30 pm and weekends. The role involves supporting activities and routines without relying on praise or rewards, and ensuring safety in public settings.
