Job Overview

Our Pool Lifeguard role is a lifesaving opportunity and is perfect for anyone wanting a career in leisure. The position is based at Poynton Leisure Centre and offers a starting salary of over £24k per annum pro‑rated.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and happy environment for swimmers and non‑swimmers, ensuring they have a positive experience at the pool.
• Supervise lane swimming, pool parties, family swims and swimming lessons.
• Work as part of a team and help people of all ages live well and stay active.
• Maintain the safety of the swimming facility during shifts, including early morning, daytime, evenings, and weekends.

Hours & Salary

Full time, 37 hours per week (early, daytime, evenings, weekends). Salary: £24,099.67 per annum pro‑rated.

Location

Poynton Leisure Centre, Cheshire East. Working on a shift rota basis across the week and weekends.

Requirements

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or enrolment in an approved NPLQ course.

• Ability to declare any relevant criminal convictions or cautions (including traffic offences).
