The Global Real Estate Project Management team is responsible for the successful delivery of UK projects. As Deputy Design and Construction Project Management Head and Senior Project Manager (UK) in the Global Real Estate department, you will manage, in conjunction with key partners, the delivery of workspaces anchored in wellness, sustainability, flexibility, culture, and hospitality. You will also develop, nurture, and manage teams. Acting as Deputy to the Regional D&C Head, you will support project activities and regional initiatives, ensuring consistency and best practices across EMEA. You will manage the entire lifecycle of construction projects—from due diligence, programming, design, procurement, construction, reporting, quality control, to cost management—to meet project objectives, budget, schedule, quality, and business needs.
Job responsibilities:
- Create a strategic execution plan considering market nuances, best practices, resources, procurement, etc., to optimize timing, cost, and business outcomes.
- Lead technical due diligence in collaboration with transaction and engineering teams, aligning with project and business objectives.
- Manage engagement of consultants and delivery suppliers, including GCs, furniture, and specialized trades, with partners in procurement and internal experts.
- Support bid document preparation, scope definition, technical & commercial reviews, and improve procurement efficiency.
- Manage planning and design processes closely with regional and sub-regional stakeholders to meet milestones and business goals.
- Oversee contractors and suppliers, manage risks, and ensure site safety programs are effective.
- Conduct regular site visits to track progress and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Collaborate to deliver workspaces emphasizing wellness, sustainability, flexibility, culture, and hospitality, aiming for certifications like LEED and Carbon Zero.
- Act as program integrator with CAO and Technology partners, managing technical and integration meetings.
- Ensure PM Web is the primary source for project data, reporting, and approvals; manage projects in line with compliance controls.
- Prepare monthly reports, monitor budgets, manage design/construction changes, and ensure timely financial closure.
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Degree in construction, project management, engineering, or related fields.
- Extensive experience managing all phases of corporate construction/fit-out projects and leading multiple complex projects.
- Experience as an internal project manager within a corporate real estate organization, with exposure to EMEA markets.
- Knowledge of commercial architecture, interior renovation, workplace planning, project management, building codes, and safety standards.
- Proven fiscal accountability across the project lifecycle, including post-occupancy.
- Excellent client service skills and ability to ensure project profitability.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in programming, space planning, and industry-standard project management tools, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
