Job Profile

We are looking to recruit a HSE Coordinator to support the HSE Manager in ensuring that the organisation achieves best practise in protecting the health and safety of all persons affected by its undertakings, and exceeds all legislative requirements.

Job Accountabilities
  • Promote a culture of positive health and safety awareness to employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Work with relevant departmental managers and supervisors to help them set realistic health and safety objectives, deciding priorities and establishing adequate systems and performance standards, and support all areas of the business to provide "reasonably practical" solutions to health and safety issues.
  • Support with the Implementation and monitoring of policies and plans, and maintain procedures, including reviewing and auditing.
  • Assist in reporting, investigating, recording and analysing accidents and incidents.
  • Assist in reviewing the implementation and performance of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Assist the site teams in ensuring that all contractors operate to the standards required by Solina Coatings UK, by maintaining an approved list of contractors, ensuring contractors have appropriate documentation, and are inducted before being allowed access to the site.
  • Support with auditing contractors to ensure they are working safely and to the agreed risk assessment and method statement they submitted.
  • Review and support site teams with the creation of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Partake in sustainability initiatives through attending environmental review meetings, researching sustainability opportunities and liaising with key stakeholders.
  • Work as an integrated team and cover absences by assisting with re-occurring job requirements.
  • Liaise with external bodies, as appropriate to the role.
  • Carry out HSE inductions for leadership and office staff as necessary.
  • Conduct regular walkarounds, engaging with staff, reporting risky situations and challenging poor behaviour / practice within the scope of Health and Safety.
  • Regularly seek out learning opportunities and attend Health and Safety related webinars and conferences.
