Job summary

A luxury hotel group in London is seeking a Sommelier to join the Dinner by Heston Blumenthal team. The successful candidate will display excellent wine knowledge, maintain the wine list, and support the Commis Sommelier. As a Sommelier at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, you will be responsible for:
  • To display excellent wine knowledge and be able to recommend and match appropriate wines with the chosen food
  • Organisation and maintenance of the wine list and the cellar
  • Training and supporting Commis Sommelier
  • Ensuring all beverages are correctly posted through Infrasys

As aSommelier, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 46-48 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary from morning, evening, and late night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.

To be a successfulSommelier candidate, you will have wine and food knowledge, with a strong understanding of fine dining restaurant service steps and previous experience as a Commis Sommelier or Sommelier.
