We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic sport and public services lecturer to join our team. You will be teaching students of varying abilities—from Level 1 to 3—and will work closely with the Curriculum Manager on the expansion and development of the department, helping us deliver the highest quality education for every student. With your industry experience, you will help inspire the next generation of skilled experts, supporting people from all backgrounds to achieve their career and life ambitions. You will also play a key role in promoting the courses across the sport and public services curriculum area, taking part in marketing events and sharing your experiences in sport and public services.
About the role note: There is no fixed closing date; the role may close when there are sufficient applicants to interview. This is a 1-year fixed-term maternity cover.
For this role, you will need proven experience in teaching and/or relevant industry experience. You will have achieved a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent) and be a qualified FE teacher (or be willing to work towards this). You will need strong communication skills—able to articulate clearly and confidently to class groups in an engaging way. You will also need efficient administration skills to support good student record-keeping.
