Senior Java Backend Engineer – Spring Microservices (Hybrid)
Job summary
A leading investment company in Manchester is seeking a Senior Java Application Engineer to develop Spring Boot microservices and collaborate in a hybrid work environment. Candidates should have strong Java development skills and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Knowledge in AWS, API design, and automation testing is beneficial but not essential. This role involves working closely with a flexible team to create efficient software solutions, directly impacting client success.
Qualifications
- Strong development work experience in Java and related technologies.
- Good understanding of Agile, Kanban, and Lean methodologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS and API design is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop Spring Boot microservices.
- Create unit tests, Cucumber, and Playwright integration tests.
- Collaborate with the development team, including pair programming.
